Nothing like getting locked up in jail over drugs to disrupt wedding festivities.
Roby Satria, the guitarist for Indonesian band Geisha, had to call off his wedding reception with his new wife, Cinta Ratu Nansya, after he got caught with drugs in Denpasar last November.
“Actually the wedding reception was supposed to be held last February. Yes, with an ordeal like this, it was cancelled,” Nansya said in Denpasar on Tuesday, as quoted by Kompas.
The singer and soap opera actress is currently in Bali to support Roby as he goes through legal proceedings.
Roby and Cinta were married in October 2015, just a month before he was arrested.
“I was actually quite shocked, really. It hadn’t even been a month into our marriage and this incident already happened,” she said.
Roby’s case file was handed over to the Denpasar district attorney’s office and he was consequently transferred to Kerobokan Prison out of rehab.
