Seek, Play, Love: Indonesia is getting its own ‘The Bachelor’, and it is set in Bali

Oh, to find the love of your life on the postcard-perfect island of Bali.

Premiering four days before this year’s Valentine’s Day, HBO Asia Originals’ The Bachelor Indonesia is the country’s first local adaption of the popular American reality television dating game show.

The debut season of the game show is set in Bali.

Each season of The Bachelor follows a single bachelor searching for a spouse from a number of potential romantic interests.

The original show premiered in 2002 and spawned several spin-offs – including The Bachelorette – and was renewed for a 27th season in the US by ABC last May.

The first season of The Bachelor Indonesia will consist of 10 episodes where a bachelor must choose between 19 charming ladies with irresistible pulchritude. The idyllic settings of Bali will provide the background to this game of love.

Indonesian actor Oka Antara is set to host The Bachelor Indonesia, which is produced by Fremantle Indonesia (Indonesian Idol).The first two episodes of The Bachelor Indonesia will be available on Feb. 10 exclusively on HBO and HBO Go. Subsequent episodes will air every Friday.
