If you’ve ever dreamed of staying the night at Ulu Cliffhouse, lounging around the breezy space with views of the Indian Ocean, well, now you can. The two-year-old beach club will soon be joined by its sister property The Clubhouse at Ulu in September, so guests can book cliff-top stays at 200 feet above the waters.
Home to seven suites, each named after the surf breaks around the property, the boutique hotel takes its inspiration from 1950s California in its pastel and deep jewel shades, four-poster beds, quirky prints, artworks, and cocktail bars (that come with private bartenders). Other amenities in the rooms include massage candles, organic products, and bamboo razors.
With sunny views of the poolside action and outdoor showers, the place appears to be a beach-goer’s dream. Suites like Dreamlands, Racetracks, The Peak, and Lakeys look out onto the ocean, while the Playgrounds option has its own balcony and the Yoyos one features a private garden.
The hotel introduction begins either on the cliff top or in the suites (instead of going to the front desk to check in), with Clubhouse “hosts” welcoming you into the space.
Guests get access to a private members’ lounge, the Clubhouse bar, and in-suite or poolside spa treatments, as well as the facilities of Ulu Cliffhouse, such as its infinity pool, restaurant, and bar — all of which dance to the tune of tropical Balinese soul with a splash of Palm Springs charm.
The hotel’s US$300 per night opening promo, available for stays between Sept 2 to Dec 15 this year, includes daily breakfasts for two and daily US$100 F&B credit. You can also get complimentary upgrades for two-night stays, a free one-hour massage for three-night stays, or a bonus night stay for four-night bookings.
