AMOR by Kate Bellm at The Slow

The latest collection of hypnotic nudes and vivid hues from British photographer Kate Bellm will be at The Slow’s Room13 gallery space starting tomorrow, and if you want to experience what it’s like to walk into a dream, you’re not going to want to miss this one.

Open for six weeks on the island, the exhibit will present Bellm’s unconventional captures, showcasing her penchant for the psychedelic that has continued to gain ground. The photographer is known for her technicolor landscapes, merbabes and sensual exploration of the female form. Bellm is bringing her first book, AMOR, in tow this time around, which she dubbed as her proudest achievement to date.

Friday, Dec 20 at The Slow, from 7pm to 11.30pm. For more information, check out their Facebook event page.

You’re going to want to secure a spot by today though, and don’t forget to wear warm sweater and comfortable shoes.

Old Man’s Canggu Christmas Market

Old Man’s monthly market is back in town, now bringing a whole lot of options just in time for Christmas. Don’t worry if you’re doing some last-minute Christmas shopping, since over 150 stalls will be there to offer you a lot of options, including jewelry, homeware, art pieces and even organic food. The Munchies will play their acoustic tunes to accompany your shopping experience this Saturday.

Saturday, Dec 21 at Old Man’s from 8am to 3pm. Free entry.

Flea Market at Kembali Innovation Hub

Bring your own shopping bag, bring your cash, and bring your tumbler – it’s time to hunt for some goodies. Organizers say items at this flea market will start from IDR25k, which sounds like such a bargain that we can’t help but wonder if that means we’re going to shop until we drop. Bringing in awesome local tenants — including Instagram-based bookshop dedicated to sell the works of women There But For the Books (TBFTB) — there are many options to choose from, especially if there are Christmas gifts you haven’t locked down yet.

Sunday, Dec 22 at Kembali Innovation Hub from 1pm ‘til end. Free entry. For more information, click here.
