Singer-songwriter Isyana Sarasvati is scheduled to pour her heart out onstage on the Island of Gods this month following live performances in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, and Surabaya to promote her latest studio album, Lexicon.
The 29-year-old multi-instrumentalist, who is known for writing and composing her own songs, released Lexicon on Nov. 29, 2019. However, due to the pandemic, the planned promotional tour was delayed for three years.
The album, which has influences in classical music and progressive rock, has been said to portray the songstress’ personality as well as showing her “true colors” musically.
“What’s certain is that we want Isyana’s work to be showcased completely,” Sarah Kasenda, Isyana’s manager said over the weekend.
Bandung-born Isyana’s LexiConcert is set to take place at Taman Bhagawan in Nusa Dua on July 22.Other singers such as Idgitaf and Gamaliel Tapiheru (with whom Isyana recorded the Indonesian language cover of A Whole New World for Disney) are also set to make appearances at the event.
Since her debut pop album in 2015, Isyana, who has a classical music background, has forged herself an identity as an Indonesian female act who writes her own songs. She is also known for her intricate live performances while keeping things light and joking around with her audience.
It should be noted that she already performed in Bali at the Joyland Festival in March. This time, however, Isyana goes solo and is ready to give it all on stage. Isyanation, are you ready?
