Halloween is just around the corner and, for those who like to dress up for the event but prefer doing so during the day, this event might just be for you – especially if you’re into The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Solemen Bali Walk will mark its 10th anniversary this year. On Oct. 22, the charity event will be all about Halloween and Rocky Horror.

The Solemen Foundation is one of the island’s prominent organizations that aims to provide support for local children with acute and chronic illnesses – both physical and mental.

The walk was first initiated in 2011 by founder Robert Epstone, who raised US$1 million for the charity by walking barefoot for the foundation. He was soon followed by co-founder, Sarah Chapman, and the pair propelled Solemen to be among Bali’s most well known and respected outreach programs helping the disabled.

The Oct. 22 walk will start from Bali Dynasty Kuta to Finns Recreation Club in Berawa.

For those who want to join but are not sure about the dressing up and putting spooky makeup part, the crew of Seminyak’s horror-themed cabaret restaurant Frankenstein’s Laboratory will be there to ensure their transformation into fabulous monsters.
