Travel information platform Big 7 Travel has released their annual list of top 50 Most Instagrammable Places in the World for 2023, with Bali ranked eighth overall and first (!) among Southeast Asian travel destinations.
The website said that Bali was hashtagged 67,469,684 times on Instagram while videos set on the island garnered 24 billion views on TikTok, putting it firmly in the top 10.
“In recent years, Bali has increased in popularity in ways we could have never imagined,” the platform wrote.
“This tropical paradise is a must-visit for anyone looking to add some beachy vibes to their Instagram feed. With over 67 million hashtags and 24 billion TikTok views, Bali offers a wealth of breath-taking backdrops, from the crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches to the lush rice terraces and traditional temples.”
Big 7 Travel has been ranking the world’s most Instagrammable destinations for the past five years. For both 2019 and 2020, Sydney came on top until Japan grabbed the top spot in 2021. In 2022, New Zealand was number one.
For 2023, Milan, London, and Paris represent the top 3, followed by Istanbul, New York, Nepal, Chicago, Bali, Sri Lanka, and Sydney. Read the full list here.
