5 fun things to do in Bali this weekend (August 26-28)

1. LEGIAN: Beach fest

Head on over to one of Bali’s liveliest areas for the Legian Beach Festival. Actually organized by the Legian local community, the festival will be set along 700 meters of Legian’s beachfront and will encourage mingling amongst residents and tourists alike. Some of the items on the agenda include a bazaar, bartending show and competition, and a crossfit competition (believe it or not).

When: Friday-Monday, August 26-29
Where: Legian Beach

2. SEMINYAK: Silent Disco at W

Silence is golden as is W Hotel’s not-so-quiet Silent Disco party. Rp 200k nett will you get in the door of the luxury beachfront hotel and is inclusive of alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) beverages. The line-up includes DJ Crip, DJ Kulki, and Andreas Seider. Not familiar with those names? No worries, the important thing is to dance your heart out in one of Bali’s trendiest venues.

3. KEROBOKAN: Saturday night market

We love markets almost as much as we love parties, so any event that’s combining the two makes our list. Hip Kerobokan Indonesian restaurant Republik 45 is hosting another one of its Saturday Night Markets, a perfect opportunity to lap up Indo-inspired cocktails while shopping for local and handcrafted goodies. Hit the ATM before you go.

5. Canggu: Brekkie, brekkie, brekkie

Don’t you dare think of skipping breakfast when in Canggu! Not because it’s said to be the most important meal of the day, but because it’s just so delicious and fresh! With the abundance of cafes that have popped up in Canggu over recent years, there’s no shortage of fab breakfast spots. Check out 5 of our top picks. Some of them even have breakfast all-day long, so you could probably hit up all five in just a weekend if you feel like marathoning it!
