Head to Bali’s most famous jungle town for a weekend of jazz if soulful stuff is more your style. The two-day festival’s lineup is a well-curated balance of international and Indonesian musicians. 3. LOVINA: Road trip it
When thinking Bali, the first thing that usually comes to mind is Kuta or Nusa Dua, or perhaps Ubud or Canggu. After all, these are some of the most popular spots on the whole island. But, if you want to experience more than just the tourist-filled South, we recommend going beyond the beaten path and taking a trip to Lovina. Gorgeous nature and deeply-rooted culture will be a huge part of your visit. Check this guide for points of interest: 6 reasons you should pack your bags and escape to Lovina, Bali right now.
4. UBUD: Sunday Social
Every six weeks, Roam Ubud (part of the Roam network of communal living spaces) and co-working space Hubud put together something of a mixer for the Ubud Community. Get to know the town’s digital nomads and engage in some good ‘ol conversation. The main menu for this one has caught our attention, featuring hot dogs, pulled pork burgers, and soft shell burgers, with vegetarian options available as well, provided by No Mas Ubud. There’s also a secret cocktail. Well what are you waiting for? Grab a handful of business cards and get going!
When: Sunday, August 14, 6:30-9pm
Where: Roam Ubud, Jl. Raya Penestanan Kelod Ubud

5. CANGGU: Go out (and drink if you want)
The Canggu bar scene is stocked with top shelf venues, funky fresh beats, and muddled with expats, short-term Bali drop-ins, and our favorite locals. If the surfers waking up for the 6am sunrise waves can make it out and about, then there is something to be said about Canggu nightlife. Grab a drink at one of these 5 places to go out in the Gu. Hint: Wednesdays and Sundays are the best nights in the Gu.
