Mama mia! Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver preps to serve up his Italian to Bali

While Bali certainly has a thriving scene for international cuisine, we just can’t wait for British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver to open up his new place in Bali.

Slated for a 2015 opening, Oliver has announced Kuta as the next destination for Jamie’s Italian. The chef has already published the potential address on his Jamie’s Italian Indonesia website, sharing that the restaurant is planning to reside in a spot adjacent to Hard Rock Hotel Bali.

Working alongside Hotel Properties Limited (HPL), the Jamie’s Italian Group has already sent building applications to the appropriate authorities, reports Australia’s Hospitality Magazine.

“I’m really excited at the prospect of bringing Jamie’s Italian to Kuta Beach in Bali. We’re thrilled to be working with HPL again, who are absolutely fantastic partners,” said Oliver, published on the restaurant’s website.

The Jamie’s Italian Group has restaurants running in more than 40 countries around the world, serving a menu of genuine Italian dishes. Pastas are made fresh daily on site (none of that out of the box crap) and you can also expect an antipasti station.

Apparently Jamie’s Italian is really into making the most of local ingredients for each of its locales. Identifying South Bali’s best local producers and suppliers is already in the works, according to Hospitality Magazine.

“Beautiful food and some really amazing cocktails coupled with sun, sand and sea – what’s not to love?” said Oliver. No kidding, we’re right there with you Jamie and your beautiful food. Show us the wine list!
