The ever-growing dining scene in the Berawa/Canggu area has an upcoming mainstay with the opening of MAIZE, a stylish, cozy, and vibrant eatery that aims to serve a selection of Latin American cuisine that still celebrates local ingredients.

Brought to the island by the Kilo Collective Group, MAIZE is helmed by Jethro Vincent, who already has several establishments to his name on the Island of Gods.

MAIZE’s menu ranges from crispy fried tortilla and lime served with guacamole dip to creative fusion meat-goodness such as suckling pork leg pibil that is also served with crunchy tortillas. All the dishes are a love letter to Latin America’s indigenous goodness, with sprinkles of Southeast Asia to complete the distinctive taste.

The outdoor patio boasts a gorgeous alfresco dining space and the indoor area is fully air-conditioned with stylish booths and high-top tables. Whether you want to bring your date to a fancy new spot or just chill out and let your hair down with a group of friends, this fabulous addition to the island’s F&B scene is certainly worth checking out.
