It’s been five years since the first Ubud Food Festival took place in Bali. And what a show it has been over the years! The humble celebration of flavors has now grown into Indonesia’s leading food event. More than a 100 chefs, restaurateurs, entrepreneurs, farmers, food writers, scientists, and activists will converge for the fifth edition of the Ubud Food Festival this April 26- 28, 2019.

The UFF19 will serve up dishes from diverse culinary cultures and flavors that will make your taste buds go wild. This year the festival is generously seasoned with the theme “Spice Up The World.” We can practically taste the herbs and spices now!

The objective of this year’s theme is to give the world a taste of Indonesia and it’s flavorsome dishes. Who doesn’t love food? This year’s UFF is going to be an Indonesian culture trip, through something we all love, FOOD!

The three-day program spans a range of ticketed and free events, from cooking demonstrations, special events, workshops and food tours, to markets, film screenings, live music and in-depth forum discussions. Special events will take place at various locations across Ubud.

There are tons of things you can choose from this UFF. Take a (culinary) trip around the world with Debbie Teoh, the poster girl of Peranakan cuisine, Luca Fantin, who was anointed the Best Italian Chef in the world in 2014, by Identità Golose Magazine, and Carlos Montobbio, the highly acclaimed chef from Spain. If that’s got you drooling already, that’s not all the options you get to choose from. Ray Adriansyah and Eelke Plasmeijer of Locavore (#21 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list and Indonesia’s only entrant on the list) along with Chef Ton of Bangkok will be part of Best of Asia. There’s also a free in-depth food discussion stage, “Food For Thought,” while the film program features Pulau Plastik, a video series focusing on Bali’s plastic waste problem.
