Japanese coffee chain % Arabica is bringing its famed brews and sleek decor to Bali, with the brand opening its first store on the Island of Gods at Beachwalk mall this weekend.

The store, located on the first floor of the bustling Kuta beachside mall, will open to the public on Saturday at 8am.

The store comes in the image of celebrated Japanese designer Nao Kameda, who has incorporated % Arabica’s characteristic opulent white aesthetic with subtle Indonesian touches. The café offers a cozy outdoor seating area for guests to enjoy a cuppa accompanied with soothing ocean waves.

Most importantly, the Bali store is said to be the first % Arabica in the world to be completely plastic cup free, leading the way for other % Arabica stores to follow.

% Arabica has been praised for its efforts to bring a new, refreshing angle to the world of caffeine. The chain, which champions the third wave coffee movement, specializes in curating a wide range of high quality coffee beans to ensure the best taste.
