After much heated anticipation, the Island of the Gods was witness to the latest Coconuts Media network party and this invite-only event was not one to miss.
Bali’s leading quirky and offbeat English news site, Coconuts Bali welcomed some of the island’s coolest cats for sunset at the whimsical and colorful La Laguna in Batu Belig, Canggu on the evening of Wednesday, June 8.
A smathering of roughly 130 Bali media, bloggers, local business owners, fashion folks, hotel and restaurant industry peeps, along with a select group of Coconuts Bali fans mingled, chatted, and celebrated the staggering success of the local city website since its recent entrance into the Bali cyberspace scene.
Coconuts founder and Managing Director Byron Perry, who leads the network of news sites across a total of eight different cities in Asia, opened the party and brought along the Coconuts Jakarta and Coconuts Indonesia squads for some Pan-Indonesia Coco team solidarity.
Nonstop slow jams accompanied by a generous free flow of refreshing drinks from our event sponsors late into the evening made for a lively yet chilled out atmosphere in the bohemian-style beachside garden. Venue partner La Laguna and event sponsor Plaga Wines, made sure no one was left in want, as delectable canapés circulated the party and drinks were poured nonstop til finish.
All in all, a smashing success of a party celebrating Coconuts Bali and we couldn’t be any happier to have set up Coco camp on this lovely paradise island.
