If you identify yourself as a noodle fiend, perhaps this dining place paying tribute to mie in Canggu’s ever-growing food and beverage scene deserves your attention.
Much like how all body types must be appreciated, All About Mie is all about celebrating Asia’s classic noodles.
Just check out the menu: there’s Chinese Chicken Mie, Indonesian Mie Goreng, Singapore’s Bak Chor Mie, and China’s Chow Mein. They also boast their own signature dishes such as Squid Ink Mie, Steak & Ginger Scallion Mie, Hoisin Duck Mie, and Chili Prawn Mie.
All about mie, indeed. The restaurants say they locally source the ingredients for their handmade noodles and guests are able to customize their noods; making them thick or thin and choosing between soupy or soupless.
Launched during the pandemic as a delivery-only food service, All About Mie has evolved into a standalone noodle bar that opens from midday to 2am (or up to 4am – depending on how many hungry people are around).
The noodle bar works with cocktail specialist Kilo Collective in case you want mojitos or gin with your noodles. Don’t know about you, but mie certainly want.
