But rather, with all the scrumptious breakfast options in Canggu, you wouldn’t want to miss out on breakfast. There’s nothing better than an early roast or fresh smoothie, easily found in the Gu, paired with one of the most worthy meals of the day.
With the abundance of cafes that have popped up in Canggu over recent years, here are five of our faves, that make us wish they all had breakfast going all day.
Crate Cafe
“Seriously, mate, you need to go to Crate,” is something you hear time after time in Canggu. Crate Café’s hipster décor meets an impeccable presentation of food platters and shakes. Everything about Crate Cafe is “Instagrammable.” The food needs no filter because it tastes as good, if not better, than it looks. You’ll be going back for the food, not the picture.

Betelnut Cafe
If you aren’t already a morning person, please, think again. You’ll want to reconsider your favorite time of day after dining at Betelnut Café. Visit this chilled bungalow-like shack to start your morning off the right way. Have your pick of some form of power food: bowls, eggs or smoothies. Whatever you choose, just know there is no wrong choice.

Peloton Supershop
Ride your motorbike over to Peloton and tread lightly into a bicycle-themed vibe. This new food joint (which is also a cycle shop and event space) was founded by cyclists. While they may be cycling on the road, they’ll take your tastebuds on a silver-tongued conscious ride. Peloton is vegan and gluten-free friendly. First open the menu to their “fastbreak” section for breakfast, and then treat it like a marathon so you savour every last bite.

Hungry Bird Coffee
The early bird may get the worm, but diners at Hungry Bird take the win. With the option to customize your own breakfast you can create a meal for a champ. The base price starts at Rp 18k with add ins ranging from Rp 2-6k. This is the ultimate place to be an early-hungry bird, maybe just ask for the worms on the side.

Satu-Satu Cafe
If you’re going for brekkie you should not have to break the bank. Satu Satu is the best bang for the buck of all options on this list. All breakfast dishes are less than 50K but taste like they’re worth more. We recommend to try one of their vitality bowls to power up for the day. Whether that be surf or turf, you need to energize either way.
