In the third and final installment of Into the Haze’, an original documentary on the Southeast Asian haze crisis, the Coconuts TV crew brings us back to the murky brown city of Pekanbaru, Sumatra.
It’s been nothing but blue skies over here in Bali, but Pekanbaru has been absolutely cloaked in thick, toxic haze that emerges annually from all the slash-and-burn farming.
In the city that’s unfortunately located right in the center of it all, Coconuts TV chats with Pekanbaru’s mayor, as well as a father who tragically lost a daughter after she fell ill and eventually died from the suffocating haze.
