On another episode of The Many Adventures of Sandiaga Uno, the vice president candidate went to Purwakarta Regency, West Java yesterday where he bought two rooster figurines from a local SME after speaking at an event for millennials.
He named his roosters Owi and Owo, which suspiciously sound identical to the last two syllables for the names of incumbent President Jokowi and his challenger (and Sandiaga’s running mate) Prabowo Subianto, respectively.

Even so, Sandiaga didn’t confirm that the figurines were named after Jokowi and Prabowo, but, in some refreshingly weird kind of political symbolism, he said his new roosters are, for the lack of a better word, cock-bros.

“I named these rooster figurines Owi and Owo. They aren’t to be pitted against each other, but they need to hug,” he said as he pulled them closer together, as quoted by Detik.
The former Jakarta vice governor also told the audience not to get carried away on the upcoming 2019 presidential elections, and that Indonesians need to unite, not vilify, each other.
How wonderful it would be if all Indonesians could learn from Sandiaga’s Owi & Owo: let’s hug it out, don’t (cock)fight over politics.
