Thailand is about to be visa-free for Myanmar nationals on short-term stays

That was quicker than expected.

Thai and Myanmar officials signed an agreement on Tuesday in Chiang Mai that lets passport-carrying nationals from both countries visit for 14 days without a visa as long as they are going through an international airport.

The new measure comes into effect on August 11, the Bangkok Post reported.
