If you guessed “medium-sized buses in Yangon” you aren’t far off the mark.
The lumbering vehicles are a nuisance and a safety hazard and are generally irritating.
But listen here medium-sized buses. Your days are numbered.
Vehicle regulator Ma Hta Tha wants to replace you, Myanmar Business Today reported.
“These buses have been used for a long time already. They are very weak in their structure and stability,” said Ma Hta Tha chairman U Hla Aung, adding that drivers of the vehicles are “very rough.”
“There have been many reckless driving cases involving this type of bus,” he said. “We will gradually substitute them with minibuses.”
He did not give a timeline for the plan.
