Yangon-bound flight in near-miss at Indian airport after runway mishap: report

A Myanmar Airways plane came close to colliding with an Air India flight at Gaya airport on Tuesday, after the jet rolled onto the runway without clearance, it has emerged.

The Yangon-bound plane was scheduled to depart at around 3pm and was sitting on the runway when it was suddenly called back to the terminal, according to Times Now.

The Air India flight reportedly landed on the same runway just a minute later.

Times Now reports that the Myanmar Airways flight MA602 entered the runway without clearance from airport authorities.

The Airport Authority of India is investigating the incident.
