How awesome is Myanmar?
Well, according to a new video by Arkar Productions, it’s the most awesome place on earth.
The video, called “An Untouched Gem,” seems to be a promo spot, but Arkar, the name of the guy behind the production company, says he made it for another reason.
“People asked me where I’m from when I was working in Singapore. I have to explain to them where Myanmar exists. It’s like I came from the place that people don’t recognize. Since that time, I’ve had a dream to one day produce a showcase video about Myanmar,” he told Coconuts Yangon in an interview on Thursday.
It’s a showcase alright.
To the sound of dramatic music, drone images of Myanmar landscapes and majestic wildlife, a movie trailer narrator informs the audience of what will happen to them if they visit the country.
“You will witness things and live experiences you won’t find anywhere else in the world. Breathtaking scenarios and cultural vestiges that wait to be discovered,” he says, in a mysterious and inviting voice. “Once you are in here, your mind and soul will be flooded with the extraordinary vibration of the area.”
The scenes were some of the “best shots” by Arkar Production over the last five years, according to post on the company’s Facebook page.
But the narration takes center stange.
How does he describe the people?
“Be ready to meet some of the happiest local people in the world. Here, everybody has a reason to smile, being thankful for what life has to offer.”
The journey will be worth it.
“Open this chest, and start seeing the wonders that are inside,” the narrator says near the end.
You should probably just get on a plane now. Lucky for us, we are already here.
