Members of the public have been invited to submit designs for the logo of Myanmar’s first stock exchange.
The Yangon Stock Exchange Joint-Venture Company (YSX) is set to open at the end of the year in the former headquarters of Myawaddy Bank on the corner of Sule Pagoda Road. But first it needs a logo – and someone to design it.
Myanmar citizens above 18 years old must enter their proposals – up to three each – by August 31, according to the Myanmar Times.
The winner, chosen by the chair and members of the Securities Exchange Commission of Myanmar and the YSX board of directors, gets K500,000 ($405). Their design will be used online, in print and on merchandise.
The designs have to feature the corporate color – light green – and should reflect the company’s desire to “make new opportunities and build confidence for economic development”.
It should also reflect “the company missions of integrity, fairness and openness”.
Nothing like a bit of corporate vision to get the creative juices flowing.
Still, some other countries managed it. Get a load of London’s:

Tokyo didn’t do too badly, either:

Thailand’s orange and black ensemble should be easy enough to best:
