Trains to be even more unreliable than usual during upcoming water festival

If you are thinking of traveling during April’s Water Festival, beware the railways.

The country’s trains, including Yangon’s Circular Line, will be in short supply starting on April 13 due to scheduled maintenance, an official told the Voice Weekly

“We will make maintenance when we have less customers,” said Kyaw Soe Linn, a general manager at Myanmar Railways. “We will stop running only some trains. If we will stop every train, passengers who want to travel by train during Water Festival can have difficulties.”

An updated schedule will be announced before the month is out. Stay tuned for a (we hope) more detailed update.
