Here’s some good news.
Officials are putting off work on gas pipelines that could have disrupted the electricity supply starting today and lasting through the weekend.
Saw Win Maung, General Manager of the Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation, told 7Day News Journal that the government ministry responsible for the job made the postponement late last night.
He did not provide details on when the work would start.
“We don’t know exactly until when they will postpone. We will support electricity regularly like in the past.”
