There’s a new water park in Yangon

Just as the baking hot weather arrives, a new water park has opened in Yangon’s Thaketa Township.

Yangon Waterboom, which opened today, boasts speed slides, water pools and more than 20 acquatic rides, according to the Myanmar Times.

Putting somewhat of a dampener on things, the K16,000 entry fee for adults jumps to K25,000 on weekends and doesn’t include locker rental.

Kids’ tickets cost K12,000 on weekdays and K20,000 at weekends.

Some of the slides will also cost extra.

“But we are arranging international buffets at various prices,” said Kiwi Aliwarga, CEO of UMG Group, which built the park.
