Thai police smoke out alleged Myanmar drug dealer in huge bust

A Myanmar citizen has been arrested on drug charges in Thailand after he was allegedly found with 13kg of crystal meth and 436,000 methamphetamine pills.

The man has been identified as 36-year-old Sai Long. He was picked up by police after they staged a huge bust in Bangkok’s Min Buri district on Wednesday, the Bangkok Post reported. He allegedly confessed in custody.

Police were reportedly led to Sai Long after arresting another man with 2,000 meth pills in Ayutthaya district. He put the officers onto another man, identified only as ‘Jane,’ whom they called to arrange a fake drugs sale. According to police, Sai Long returned the call and set up a meeting at Min Buri market.

He was arrested when he turned up in a pick-up truck allegedly carrying the meth.
