Taxi driver in Yangon beaten by bus driver, ticket collectors: report

In a case of road rage gone wrong, a taxi driver was allegedly beaten by a bus driver and ticket collectors after an argument in Thingangyun township on Thursday morning.

Citing eyewitness, the Voice reported that the trouble started when the 38-year-old taxi driver complained about the bus blocking his cab.

There must have been something offensive in the complaint, because four people reportedly poured out of the bus. Using metal rods, they allegedly beat the driver.

A passenger was apparently beaten as well. According to the Voice, both are recovering from their injuries, which are not life-threatening.

No one has been arrested but the case is being investigated.
