Small blast outside Hpa’an garment factory caused by ‘explosive device’

An explosion outside a garment factory in Hpa’an, Kayin state, last week was caused by a small explosive device, according to police.

No one was reported injured during the blast, which happened at around 9:15am on August 14. Police told the Global New Light of Myanmar that they uncovered the remains of a device at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
