Silent killer stabs two brothers in South Dagon home

Police have arrested a 24-year-old man who allegedly stabbed two brothers to death at their home in South Dagon Township on Saturday.

Hla Myo Naing is accused of first killing 26-year-old Kyaw Kyaw while he was watching a movie, the Global New Light of Myanmar reported.

Police said he carried out the brutal slaying without saying a word. An officer told the Voice Weekly that the older victim had proposed and “disturbed” the suspect’s sister, though no more details were provided.

He then allegedly turned to the younger brother, Aung Paing Oo, 20, who was on the doorstep after returning from a neighborhood shop.

Both victims had multiple stab wounds.
