If you live in one of 19 Yangon townships, better stock up on water, authorities have said.
A major canal, the source of about half the city’s water, is being repaired and shortages could happen, the Myanmar Times reported.
Work should be completed by 12 noon tomorrow (Thursday).
But, in the meantime, shortages could affect: Mingalardon, North and South Okkalapa, the four Dagon townships, Ahlone, Sanchaung, Mingalar Taung Nyunt, Thingangyun, Tamwe, Dawbon, Thaketa, Mayangone, Yankin and Bahan.
So most of the city, then.
