Registration fee for Myanmar public companies more than doubles

The cost of registering a public company has more than doubled in recent months, Myanmar Alinn reported.

The price increased from about $1000 to $2500.

“The fee increased as we want [the companies] to work efficiently,” Than Aung Kyaw, the deputy manager of the Investment and Companies Department said.

More than 230 public companies have already registered, general manager Aung Naing Oo said.
