Police seize more than 20,000 yaba pills in multiple busts

Police have seized more than 21,000 yaba pills worth an estimated K7.9 million ($6,157) after drug busts in Shan state and Yangon.

Acting on a tip-off, officers on Sunday searched the home of Aik Tun, whose street name is ET, where they found the stimulant methamphetamines.

On Tuesday, they picked up alleged distributor Aye Min Thu as he walked down Yadana Street in Thaketa Township, according to the Global New Light of Myanmar.

The same day, police seized more than 1,000 pills on a highway bus driven from Nantsan to Taunggyi.

Another man, Ye Myint Aung, who allegedly sold the drugs, was also arrested.
