Three army officers and one patrol police officer are facing charges after a guitar strumming session spiraled into a drunken brawl in Magwe Region last week.
The men were playing guitar outside a women’s boarding house on August 15 when local police, finding the group in a boozed-up state, reportedly told them to go home.
A brawl erupted and a police sub-inspector opened fire at the army officers, leaving two injured, according to the Global New Light of Myanmar.
The sub-inspector has been charged with overuse of a duty weapon, while the army officers are facing action over violating military conduct.
