Myanmar might not be included among the list of Asian countries where Pokemon Go officially launched today, but excited players report that the game started working here this morning.
Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and other Southeast Asian nations were named in a statement from Niantic as the newest locations. China and India – two of the biggest potential markets – weren’t included. Nor was Myanmar.
But the game appears to be working here – at least in Yangon – and players have taken to social media to report their catches.
We’re doing what we can find out if this is the official launch, or a glitch. But, for now, we’re not sure how long it’s going to last so… Better get out there and catch ‘em all!
