We’re probably supposed to be disgusted by this piece of fast-food news: another global conglomerate is getting its greasy paws on the Golden Land. But, STUFFED CRUSTS.
Pizza Hut, the fast-food giant which recently debuted a mutant pizza blanketed in hot dogs, is opening on Dhammazeddi Road.
The chain’s first outlet, in a standalone building beside City Mart’s Marketplace, could open as soon as November, according to the Myanmar Times.
Yum! Brands, which is also behind the imminent opening of Kentucky Fried Chicken, will work with Jardine restaurant Group and City Mart.
The Times described the news as a “blow to those who revel in Myanmar’s freedom from global F&B franchises”. Boo-hoo. Just wait for the Hot Dog Bites Pizza.
