A cracked windshield caused a Philippines Airlines plane en route to Dubai to make an emergency landing at the Yangon International Airport yesterday.

The plane contacted the air traffic control center at the Yangon International Airport as it flew over Pathein and asked for permission to make the emergency landing.

The plane landed at around 2pm, carrying 177 passengers and 13 crew members. Engineers at the airport repaired the windshield. The passengers were allowed to stay in the Terminal 1 lounge before another Philippine Airlines plane came to get them.
