Netflix is finally available in Myanmar

Big news people. BIG. NEWS.

The video-streaming service Netflix is now available in Myanmar.

We are one of 130 new countries added to the global mix.

“Today you are witnessing the birth of a new global Internet TV network,” Co-founder and Chief Executive Reed Hastings said in a statement on Wednesday.

“With this launch, consumers around the world – from Singapore to St. Petersburg, from San Francisco to Sao Paulo – will be able to enjoy TV shows and movies simultaneously – no more waiting. With the help of the Internet, we are putting power in consumers’ hands to watch whenever, wherever and on whatever device.”

Pretty much everybody is getting in on the fun, except China, Crimea, North Korea and Syria, “due to U.S. government restrictions on American companies,” the statement said.

There are a number of subscription packages available, with first-month free options. Explore the Netflix Myanmar choices here.
