Myanmar’s Central Bank to introduce new 10,000 kyat note

Meet the new 10,000 kyat note, almost the same as the old 10,000 kyat note.

The Central Bank of Myanmar is issuing the new bill, worth about $10 and available as early as June 1, to prevent counterfeiting and prolong circulation life, the Irrawaddy reported.

While the size and color are more less identical to the one in your wallet or pocket now, the new version will have extra features including a watermark that, when held up to the light, reveals a lotus flower.
