Myanmar nationals no longer need visas for short-term Thailand trips

By the end of August Myanmar nationals should be able to disembark in Thailand and avoid time-consuming visa lines.

A new agreement between the two neighboring countries, expected to be signed in a few days and implemented about a month later, will eliminate visa requirements for two-week stays, 7Day Daily reported.

According to the report, however, the measure only applies to airport arrivals, not land crossings on the border.
