Myanmar developers create customizable stickers

Stickers are a lot of fun. And the more you can mess around with them, the better they get.

That’s the mantra of a group of Myanmar developers who have made an app that lets you customize them.

Snackshots, which was released on the Apple app store this week, allowers users to download and manipulate a set of stickers.

Select a picture, add text, change the colours, fonts and backgrounds and then send.

It was produced by Yangon-based NexLabs, the team behind anonymous messaging service Hush.

Giving Coconuts Yangon a sneak preview ahead of the launch, Ye Myat Min, the CEO of NexLabs, said: “You’ve seen a lot of stickers, right? But you’ve never been able to customize them.”

NexLabs targets a global market, with English-language technology.

“This has been an international product from day one,” said Ye Myat Min.
