Some short but reasonably timed power outages may be in the offing over the next couple of days in several Yangon townships.

Disruptions could occur because of natural gas pipelines that need to be connected from the 25th (that’s tomorrow) to the 28th (Sunday), 7Day News Journal reported.

A city official said the cuts, if they come, will happen from around 5am to 10am and will last up to two hours.

The affected townships listed in the report are Thaketa, Daw Pon, Dagon, south Dagon, north Dagon, Thingangyun, Bahan, Ahlone, Sanchaung, Mayangone, Kamaryut, Insein, Mingalardon, Hlaing Tharyar, Hmawbi, Shwepyithar and Hlegu.
