Ma Ingyin Htoo has been named Miss Myanmar International 2016 after a glitzy grand final at Melia Hotel.
She will go on to compete in the global contest in Japan in October.
Second prize went to Tin Sandar Myo, while Nay Kyar Khin came in third place.
As the Global New Light of Myanmar pointed out, Miss Myanmar International should not be confused with Miss Myanmar, Miss World, Miss Golden Land Myanmar or, er, Miss World Myanmar.
Safe to say there are a lot of pageants here.
From the 1960s onwards, when the country was ruled by an ironfisted military junta, Myanmar nationals could not compete in beauty pageants. The first competitions were held in 2012, after the transition to a semi-civilian government.
