Mesmerising camera trap footage shows Myanmar wildlife in natural habitat

The next time a hectic workday brings you down, just think of these zen gibbons hooting as they swing through the trees in Karen State.

New camera trap footage posted online by the Karen Environmental and Social Action Network shows hornbills, crab-eating mongoose and other creatures in their natural habitat.

A lengthy shot of a macaque’s anus also makes up part of the footage, recorded by cameras equipped with infrared motion sensors.

Jared Naimark, an environmental activist, said in a series of tweets that the wildlife in the area is under threat from development projects.
