Manhattan Fish Market diner ‘finds maggot in meal’

When you order at a restaurant, you don’t expect to see all the ingredients in a dish listed on the menu. Sometimes there’s a surprise: hidden peanuts or chili salt. At worst, a hair. It’s all good.

But Manhattan Fish Market, on Yangon’s Strand Road, crossed the line last night according to one diner who shared the above appalling photo from her meal.

The diner, who asked not to be named, said staff apologized for the mishap and offered free dessert.

Myo Min Soe, the assistant manager of Manhattan Fish Market, said the staff had planned an internal meeting to discuss the complaint.

Nonetheless, according to the diner, it was a “totally bad experience”.

For us too. Time for lunch?
