Kempinski Hotel’s most expensive suite in Naypyidaw will cost you $5,000 a night soon

Remember those days when Kempinski Hotel in Naypyidaw had an amazing deal on its Grand Royal Suite, when for only $3,255 you could stay in the luxurious accommodation for a grand total of one night?

Well, those days are numbered.

From June 1, staying in the Grand Royal Suite will cost $5,000 a night, Mizzima reported.

That may seem like a lot of money to the average human being, but Kempinski Hotel’s Grand Royal Suite was not built for the average human being.

Here’s a run down of just some of the items available during your stay, taken more or less word for word from the hotel’s website:

A bodyguard room, a nanny room, a living room, foyer, media room, study room, meeting room, fitness centre, a large dining area, an outdoor private swimming pool and sun deck, two bathrooms with bathtub and shower. A 40-inch flat-screen LED TV, telephone line with voicemail, mini-bar, complimentary exotic fresh fruit basket, laundry, dry cleaning, pressing and air blowing services [whatever that is].

At the airport, you will be welcomed by a “lady in red” before being transferred to the hotel for free in a BMW. Of course, room service is 24 hours, and there’s also a “host of personal butlers.”

Come to think of it, this is starting to sound kind of worth it.

The Swiss-based Kempinski Group was one of several high-end hotel firms who scrambled to open up in Naypyidaw, Myanmar’s 10-year-old capital, ahead of the Asean summit late last year.
