Independent candidate Nyo Nyo Thin will not be heading to the capital after all.
The former National League for Democracy member who launched her campaign for a lower house seat in Bahan Township after her candidacy was rejected by the NLD, confirmed this morning that she lost.
She declined to comment further as “we are a little bit collecting some data.”
Nyo Nyo Thin became a media darling as she ventured out on her own to try and take on the NLD powerhouse.
Official preliminary results are due at 3pm today.
