Grisly murder in Shan State capital leaves three dead

The bodies of an elderly woman and two children were all found in their home in the Shan State capital of Taunggyi several days after they were murdered, local media reported.

The case bears many similarities to another crime in Yangon that occurred around the same period in which an ex-police officer and his wife and two sons were killed in their home.

In both cases the victims were stabbed to death and there were no signs of robbery.

According to DVB, the victims in Shan state are Shwe Yi Cho, a 38-year-old noodle vendor, and her two children, daughter Wah Wah Htwe, 12, and her son, 10-year-old Ar Kyu.
