Fugitive triple-murderer hiding in Naypyitaw caught after ‘acting suspiciously’

Police in Naypyitaw have nabbed a fugitive triple murderer who went on the run after breaking out of prison in Bago region’s Taungoo township last month.

The man was arrested after ‘acting suspiciously,’ the state-backed Global New Light of Myanmar reported.

Once police had him in custody, they discovered he was the same fugitive who had fled the prison where he was serving a life sentence for three murders.

He told police at the time that he had killed the victims after they found him robbing a home in Taungoo. He is now in custody there.
