Sick of the rain yet? Hope not, because there’s much worse ahead.
Forecasters are predicting heavy rain and storms in Bago, Yangon, Irrawaddy and Tanintharyi Regions, as well as Rakhine, Karen and Mon states, over the next few days.
“We have to be aware of heavy rain in some places because of a low pressure region [in the Bay of Bengal],” Kyaw Moe Oo of the Meterology Department told 7Day. “Waves and wind will be strongest in coastal areas.”
Coastal regions have been warned to expect storms with strong winds.
